The Fall season is one of the most exciting periods for Android fans. Following the step of Samsung, OnePlus, Google announced the Pixel 4 and Pixel 4 XL on Tuesday. They feature a lot of new techs, including dual rear cameras, 90Hz displays and its Soli radar system for the first time. Besides these high-tech features, you may concern more about its SIM card slot and storage.

Is Google Pixel 4/ 4 XL have dual SIM?

Samsung has released phones with both single and dual SIM versions several years ago. Dual SIM version is a good choice for those people who want to separate work and their private life or want to use service provided by different carriers.

Good to know, Google also brings you what you need on the Pixel 4 series. Both Pixel 4 and 4XL have dual SIM, one physical nano SIM and one eSIM. You can easily get a physical SIM card from every wireless carrier, but eSIM cards may need you to spend some effort on.

Goole’s Pixel 2,3 and 3a have carried dual SIM through eSIM, but it’s been crippled by various hardware and software limitations. I hope the problem has been solved on Pixel 4. And in US, Only Google Fi, Sprint, and GigSky provide eSIM service for Pixel 4 and 4XL, although some people said T-Moble does as well. We can expect that more eSIM carriers for the Pixel line will show up later.

Is Google Pixel 4/ 4 XL have a micro SD card slot?

Google Pixel 4 and 4 XL just come with a 64GB version and a 128 GB version. For most heavy users, their storage is too small, especially now that Google has nixed the free, unlimited original-quality photo storage it used to offer for its phone. And the worst news is that Pixel 4 and 4 XL don’t have a micro SD card slot. You can’t expand the storage by yourself.

Although choosing a 128GB version means you have to pay for an extra $100 for both Pixel 4 and 4 XL, 128GB version is still highly recommended in my opinion.
